Creators earn commission on qualifying purchases (each marketplace's program rules prevail)

1. Open Amazon Associates (affiliate-program.amazon.com; each country's marketplace is separate) and sign up with an Amazon account.
2. Enter your website, app or social account details; the official agreement allows promotion on websites, social content, apps or Alexa skills.
3. Accept the Associates Program Operating Agreement and Program Policies (participation requirements, commission income statement, trademark guidelines).
4. Complete the tax interview and payment details; the official agreement says commission may be held if tax information is not provided.
5. Generate Special Links with your tag in Associates Central using SiteStripe or the link tools.
6. Prominently disclose where you promote: "As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases." (or an equivalent wording Amazon allows).
7. Customers who buy qualifying items through your links earn you commission, with rates by category under the Associates Program Commission Income Statement.
8. Review: new accounts must make qualifying sales within a set period to be approved (per Associates Central rules at the time).
9. Common account closures: missing disclosure, incentivized clicks, self-purchases, links in emails/offline, misuse of prices and images.
10. Payment cadence, threshold and methods follow your Associates Central payment settings; Amazon may withhold taxes.
11. To leave: choose to close the account in Account Settings; the agreement says termination takes effect 7 days after notice, and unpaid commission may be paid after returns are reconciled.
